1. How old do you have to be to play soccer?

 

 

 

 

Answer: You have to be at least 4 years old. Children must be 4 by August 31 for fall season, and by February 28, for spring season, to be eligible. Please refer to the Player Age Matrix. We also offer a pre-school aged, 6 week program, called Goal Getters for kids ages 2-4. Registration for this program will open in January/July.

3. When are soccer sign-ups?

Answer: Skiatook Soccer Club sign-ups begin at the end of each season. Early Registrations are taken during the awards ceremony, in June and December, for each season.  Additional early registration dates may be added during the months of June and December. Registration for the spring season will end on, or around, February 1, and registration for the fall season will end on, or around, August 1. Registrations are online, with limited in person only on scheduled registration dates.  Please check the registration page for current dates.

4. What are the player registration fees for soccer?

Answer: Current player registration fees are as follows:
Early Registration is $65 per player (when payment and registration is received during the months of December & June)
Registration is $70 per player (when payment and registration is received during the months of January & July)
Late Registration is $80 per player (when payment and registration is received during the months of February or later & August or later)

5. What do we do if we missed sign-ups?

Answer: Contact the Skiatook Soccer Club Registrar. Players may be added if there is space on teams.

6. When does the soccer season start and finish?

Answer: The spring soccer season starts on the first Saturday of March. The fall soccer season starts on the first Saturday after Labor Day in September. Practices can start as soon as teams are formed by the Skiatook Soccer Club.

8. What do I have to do to be a coach?

Answer: Anyone who will be acting as a coach, please contact the Skiatook Soccer Club by email or by calling (918) 844-4880. Anyone who has regular contact with children relating to soccer, either practice or games, must pass a background check per the Oklahoma Soccer Association Risk Management Policy.

9.How will we know if games are cancelled?

Answer: Please review the Skiatook Soccer Club Game Cancellation, Postponement and Reschedule Policy. Skiatook Soccer Club will indicate if fields are open or closed on the SkiatookYouthSports.com website. Notifications will also be sent out through our Skiatook Soccer Club Facebook Page.

12. What do you do about a bad call from a referee?

Answer: We only have the ability to assist with Skiatook Soccer Home Games. Please contact our Skiatook Soccer Club Head Referee about any referee situation or questions. Please include details like Date, Team Name or Coach's Name and a description of the situation.

13. When and where are the Skiatook Soccer Club board meetings?

Answer: Skiatook Soccer Club board meetings are generally on the second Thursday of each month in the clubhouse.

15. What equipment will my child need for soccer?

Answer: To play soccer you will need a team jersey, with numbers, shorts/pants, shin guards, socks that cover the shin guards, cleats and a ball.  Uniforms are ordered by each team individually, and your coach will work with the team to place that order. Ball sizes are as follows for each age group: U6/U8 use size 3 ball, U10/U12 use size 4 ball, and U14 & up use size 5 ball.

16. When will we know what team my child is on?

Answer: Coaches meetings are held after team formation is complete, approximately 7-10 days following the end of registration. Team packets are distributed to coaches at this time. You should be contacted by a coach within 1-2 weeks following the meeting. If it has been more than 2 weeks, and you have not been contacted, please contact us.
